Project description

Pyramul Road is a minor local road which links the villages of Windeyer and Pyramul. Much of the road is sealed, however there a 3 short sections which are unsealed. The project involves the sealing of the first of these unsealed sections, a total length of 3.3km located 1.9km south from the intersection of McMurrays Lane. Short lengths of unsealed road sandwiched between sealed section causes maintenance issues. This section of road is narrow with overhanging trees located close to the road. There is a causeway which has very poor vertical and horizontal alignment on the approaches.

It is proposed to widen this section of road to achieve a 7.5m seal. Works would involve tree clearance / trimming, extending stormwater culverts, pavement rehabilitation and seal. Installing low flow box culverts under the causeway will allow a small realignment to improve the poor approaches.
