Project description

This project involved the upgrade Canterbury Road at Heathmont, including: the relocation of the existing pedestrian signals; widening and lengthening the left turn slip lane; relocation of power poles and associated lighting works; and the installation of additional bollards adjacent to the Canterbury Road slip road.

The project is expected to improve safety and access for all road users.

Funding

The estimated cost of the project is $1.2 million. The Australian Government contribution is capped at $1.2 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced on 5 March 2018 and completed 15 October 2018.
