Project description

The existing unsealed gravel pavement at this location is prone to damage and scouring during rainfall events and can result in loss of access. This impacts on access to nearby properties that rely on this road. The existing concrete culverts at this location are also in poor condition and require replacement.

Construction of a reinforced concrete floodway for the full length identified and replacement of the existing culvert structure to improve the resilience of this asset.

Total cost of proposed project is $700,083

The existing surface and pavement is showing signs of distress and is near the end of its useful life - current condition of road not providing adequate level of service.Reseal - length of 137m, width of 8m.

There is lack of good rubble on the running surface. Wear rate is high due to traffic volume. The surface is very rough and potholed. Drains are not functioning properly and this is impacting on all weather access to the road.Recreate base with introduced crushed limestone rubble. Trees will be trimmed and drainage created where required. Road will be sealed using 14/7 millimetre treatment with a C170 binder.Total cost of proposed project is $683,456
