Project description

Asset Management and Road Safety are the two main contributing factors for the inclusion of this road in the R2R program. The existing pavement is in poor condition and quite narrow with large drop offs and edge breaks. The narror profile, and curves on this section of road makes it unsafe for passing vehicles or overtaking, it also takes considerable maintenance effort to keep in a trafficable state.

Works will include a combination of shoulder widening works and gravel overlay with insitu mixing with a proposed increase in width to minimum 7m seal width. the works will be completed in a 2 coat bitumen seal.
