Road has deteriorated due to loss of gravel causing rutting, corrugations and exposure of larger stones. The route is an important route for stock and grain harvest and becomes dangerous in wet weather.Supply, spread and compact 150 mm of gravel.
Road has a natural surface formation which becomes impassable in wet weather. Gravel sheeting will improve access for light and heavy vehicles.Supply, spread and compact 150 mm of crushed gravel
Existing concrete pipe culverts have moved due to flood waters over several years. The pipe joints have opened up allowing the road formation over the culverts to be eroded away and creating potholes in the sealed road surface. The existing pipes will be correctly realigned and the joints sealed. The road surface will then be repaired and resealed.
The existing bridge approaches have been eroded as a result of flood waters over several years and the guardrail has settled. The existing guardrail will be removed. The bridge approaches will be reformed, stabalised and sealed, with embankment protection installed on the approaches. The guardrail will then be reinstated.
Sealed road surface has reached end of economic life and has significant surface cracking.Reseal approximately 1 km of sealed road.Total cost of proposed project is $56,474
The sealed road surface has reached the end of its economic life and has significant surface cracking and potholing.Reseal approximately 1.1 km of sealed road
The existing roadway has a narrow seal of 4.0m and the pavement has significant failures throughout. The road will be widened to 6.0m with kerb and channel constructed on both sides to match with surrounding roads in the township.Total cost of proposed project is $162,121
The intersection of Brinkley Road and Old Swanport Road is located on the edge of the Murray Bridge Township and both roads have a posted speed limit of 80km/h. There have been several 90 degree collisions at the intersection and as a result State Black Spot have funded 2/3 of the project to install a round-about.Install a B-Double compliant round-about at the intersection of Brinkley and Old Swanport Road to prevent vehicles form not stopping and provide priorityTotal cost of proposed project is $906,493
The pavement has significant failures due to poor drainage infrastructure located on the northern side of the roadways.Construct new kerb and channel on the northern side of the roadway, install new underground drainage and place new asphalt surface over the roadway.Total cost of proposed project is $88,524
Weak pavement, re-establish seal, inadequate drainage, combat erosion.Provide a 200mm overlay to average 4.3m width (pavement width is increased on bends compared to straights), improve drainage, install culverts and renwe culverts, install rock beaching to culvert outlets.
