Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Midland Highway Safety Works Package – St Peters Pass to South of Tunbridge
The project upgraded approximately 10.7km of the Midland Highway between St Peters Pass and south of Tunbridge.
Bruce Highway - Sarina to Cairns - Upgrade Southern Approach to Cairns
The project involved the construction of an additional in bound lane and road overpasses, removal of rail crossings, provision of service roads and installation of a traffic management system.
Burdekin Road Safety Audit projects
The project involved safety works identified by the Burdekin Road Safety Audit, including upgrading intersections along Edward Street in Ayr and in Brandon and the construction of two new overtaking lanes on the Bruce Highway in the Burdekin area.
Bruce Highway - Sarina to Cairns - Upgrade the Southern Approach to Mackay
This project involved the duplication of the Bruce Highway to four lanes from Temples Lane to the existing four lanes at Boundary Road and the upgrade of six intersections and was constructed in three stages: Stage 1 - intersection upgrade at Farrelly’s Lane/Schmidtkes Road and duplication of the Bruce Highway from Farrelly’s Lane to Boundary Road; Stage 2 - upgrade of the Boundary Road and City Gates intersections; and Stage 3 - duplication of the Bruce Highway from Temples Lane to Farrelly’s Lane.
Ipswich Motorway – Rocklea to Darra
The project will upgrade approximately 3 kilometres of the Ipswich Motorway between Granard Road and Oxley Road to three lanes in each direction, and will include a northern service road across Oxley Creek, improvements to ramps and the construction of higher bridges over Oxley Creek (7 bridges in total). It will also see an extension to Boundary Road to connect the two industrial areas of Rocklea and Carole Park.

Landsborough Highway - Ayshire Road - WINTON - 061356-16QLD-BS
Construction of Basic Auxiliary Right Turns and Basic Auxiliary Left Turns. Improvement of roadside delineation, directional signage and guideposts
Dalcouth Road - Gentle Road - STANTHORPE - 061357-16QLD-BS
Trees to be removed. Provision of Chevron Alignment Markers. Installation of guideposts
Old Stanthorpe Road - 3km Section Approx 20.6km South of Warwick - WILDASH - 061358-16QLD-BS
Trees to be removed. Provision of Chevron Alignment Markers. Installation of guideposts and Vehicle Activated Sign
