Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Beenleigh Redland Bay Road (Cornubia and Redland Bay)
Targeted road safety improvements including audio tactile line markings, improved signage, removal of roadside hazards, road surface and shared path treatments, installation of turning lanes.
South Eastern Freeway Upgrade
a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } The project upgrades the Heysen Tunnels and key sections of the South Eastern Freeway. Works include repairing tunnel linings, upgrading lighting, signage, ventilation and electrical systems, and installing a fire suppression system. It also introduces managed motorway technology between Glen Osmond (Portrush and Cross Roads) and Crafers, and stabilises retaining walls at selected sites. 
Regional North-South Freight Route
This project will deliver a higher capacity North-South Freight Route between Murray Bridge and Annandale, bypassing Adelaide. It involves various upgrades along the route via Ridley Road and Halfway House Road.
Adventure Way and Innamincka Airport Access Project
Adventure Way, in outback South Australia, has regular heavy vehicle use from the mining and agricultural sectors, and is a tourist route to outback towns such as Innamincka. This project involves sealing 26km of Adventure Way from the South Australia/Queensland border and 2.5km of the adjoining Strzelecki Track to provide continuous sealed access to Innamincka Airport. This will improve accessibility to outback South Australia for tourism, agriculture and the mining industry.
Safety Barrier Program
This project will install safety barriers at high risk crash sites across South Australia.
Long Valley Road Mass Action
This project will implement a suite of safety improvements along Long Valley Road, including: localised widening, shoulder sealing, intersection treatments, safety barriers and sight distance improvements.
Road Lighting Improvements
This project will install or upgrade road lighting at critical rural intersections in South Australia.
Sealing Local Road Approaches & Minor Junction Improvements
This project will deliver minor improvements to junctions along key corridors in South Australia. Treatments include sealing aprons and local road approaches and delineation improvements
Railton Main Road Upgrade
This project is expected to prioritise shoulder widening for problem areas identified along an approximate 13 kilometre section of Railton Main Road. This will improve road safety and network efficiency for freight and road users along this busy corridor.
State Road Network Enhancements - Tasmania
The project delivered road resurfacing in priority areas, including Bass Highway, Arthur Highway, West Tamar Highway, Lyell Highway, Bell Bay Main Road and Bridport Main Road, and bridge renewal works on Sheas Creek Bridge and Blackman River Bridge.
