Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Normanton - Burketown Road (rural road) - 108491-20QLD-RTR
Gravel road wearing due to increase of traffic and heavy vehicles. Causes dust problems in the dry and slippery, boggy in the wet.It is proposed to reshape and stabilize the existing gravel formation and seal to 7m width.Total cost of proposed project is $1,820,000
Adavale Road (Rural Road) - 108527-20QLD-RTR
Loss of Gravel along the shoulders resulting in drop in grade.Shoulder Grading with imported Gravel and Seal the Graded sections with double coat Bitumen Seal.
Killarney Road (Rural Road) - 108525-20QLD-RTR
Due to the increase in heavy vehicle traffic resulting in the settlement of the pavement, the road requires constant grading which is depleting gravel wearing surface.Resheet existing pavement to 8m wide and provide 7m wide 2-coat bitumen seal between 71.8 and 75.7Km. Widen the existing base by 4m and seal the surface with 2-coat bitumen seal to 3m between 75.7 and 76.74Km.Total cost of proposed project is $921,003
Windy Harbour Road (rural road). - 108507-20WA-RTR
The width of the existing road does not meet the width required in the shire's Road Hierarchy policy and extensive pot holing, edge breaks and deformations are present; crossfalls do not meet the standard required in Ausroads guides and are inconsistent.Replace existing culverts that are failing. Reform/reconstruct the road by importing gravel so that a 6 metre seal can be applied with 1 metre of unsealed shoulder each side and crossfalls and super-elevation meet the required standards. Place signs and guideposts as required.Total cost of proposed project is $454,309
Springdale Road (rural road) - 108520-20WA-RTR
Very little gravel exists on the road; the shape is poor (very flat) which results in potholes during winter. The surface corrugates during summer.Shape the existing road to form a base with 6 percent crossfalls. Import gravel to form a 100 milimetre thick compacted layer.
Perup Road (rural road) - 108516-20WA-RTR
The existing road has a seal that is narrow and requires vehicles travelling in opposite directions to use the unsealed shoulder to avoid each other, there is a low point near the middle of the seal that runs longitudinally along the road; there is significant rutting, edge breaks and potholes occur regularly.remove a number of trees that are close to the road; replace pipes in four culverts that have been built with butt joint pipes and are failing. Rip the existing seal and import gravel to form an 8 metre wide pavement with a 6 metre seal. Place signs and guideposts as required.Total cost of proposed project is $454,701
Devonport road, Quoiba - 108528-20TAS-RTR
The pavement, seal and kerb assets are in poor condition and require renewal. It is a critical freight route as well as a commuter and tourism route.The proposed reconstruction includes pavement renewal, subsoil drainage on both sides of the road and reinstatement of seal for the full width of the carriageway.Total cost of proposed project is $730,685
Wheatley Coast Road, Quinninup - 108508-20WA-RTR
The existing road has significant rutting, edge break and sections with poor cross fall, seal stripping and pot holes occur regularly. Table drains are minimal and do not exist in some sections.Replace one culvert that is failing. Form table drains to accepted standards. Rip the road and import gravel; form gravel to the required shape of the road and place a 7 metre wide seal with a 1 metre unsealed shoulder each side. Place signs and guide posts as required.Total cost of proposed project is $450,000
