Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Cape Otway Road and Winchelsea-Deans Marsh Road Intersection Upgrade
This project involves the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Cape Otway Road and Winchelsea-Deans Marsh Road in Birregurra, near Winchelsea.
Fitzsimons Lane and Main Road Corridor, Eltham - Nillumbik Shire Council
The project is expected to upgrade the Fitzsimons Lane and Main Road corridor in the Nillumbik Shire.
Hume Freeway - Watson Street to the M80 Ring Road
This project is expected to deliver targeted upgrades on the Hume Freeway between Watson Street in Wallan and the M80 Ring Road.
Urraween/Boundary Road Extension, Hervey Bay
This project will construct a road connecting Urraween Road and Boundary Road, in Hervey Bay.
Captain Cook Highway - Cairns CBD to Smithfield Upgrade
The project will investigate options to upgrade approximately 15.5 kilometres of the Captain Cook Highway from the Bruce Highway to the Kennedy Highway. 
Anderson Street Bairnsdale - 052708-14VIC-RTR
Failing Seal- Seal is aged, oxidising and crackingRehabilitation, Asphalt regulation, edge repairs and crack sealing will be undertaken as preparation works prior to the commencement of sealing work reinstatement of line marking.
Quay Street Upgrade, Bundaberg
This project is expected to divert traffic away from Quay Street and around the CBD of Bundaberg.
Outer Metropolitan / E6 Corridor Preservation
This preliminary business case investigated options to acquire land along Melbourne’s Outer Metropolitan Ring and E6 Corridor to support the future construction of this proposed transport link.
Gladstone Port Access – Improved Access for Heavy Vehicles
The project is expected to investigate and deliver improved road crossing options for the Calliope River to support access to Gladstone Port for heavy vehicles and improve safety by reducing congestion for all road users.
Murchison Highway Upgrade
This project will upgrade targeted areas along the Murchison Highway. The first project includes the strengthening of one existing bridge on the Murchison Highway and three existing bridges on the Zeehan Highway to meet contemporary heavy freight vehicle loads. The second project includes the widening and shoulder sealing of the existing Murchison Highway over approximately 2 kilometres between Mackintosh Bridge and Pieman Road. The third project includes road widening, pavement strengthening, intersection upgrades, improved drainage and visibility for oncoming traffic and an improvement to sight distances to extend overtaking opportunities on the Murchison Highway between Sterling River Bridge and Mackintosh Bridge. The fourth project will upgrade between Stitt River Bridge and Henty Main Road, including shoulder sealing, increased overtaking opportunities, truck pull-off and load checking sites and increased load limit to accommodate higher mass loads.
