Three span 26 metre long single lane timber bridge in poor condition that will need to have a 16 tonne load limit applied if the bridge is not replaced or extensive timber girder replacement works carried out. The bridge is also a road safety hazard located at the base of a steep gradient and being single laned resulting in skid marks on site from vehicles having to avoid another approaching vehicle.Currently not suitable for B-Double truck access and this is requiring lengthy detours for these vehicles to access farming and forestry properties on the eastern side of the bridge.Replacement of the timber super structure with a two lane concrete structure to higher mass limits design standards that will allow B-Double truck access and improve road safety at the site.Total cost of proposed project is $484,544
High traffic speeds identified along the length of road. Installation of flat top road humps including at the existing pedestrian crossing will significantly reduce traffic speeds as identified in a recent local area traffic management study.Installation of flat top road humps
The existing roundabouts at both intersections are operating poorly with no pedestrian or cycling facilities. The construction of traffic splitter and pedestrian refuge islands on all approaches to the intersections will significantly improve the safe operation of the roundabouts and will provide safe pedestrian crossing and cycling facilities. These works were identified in a recent local area traffic management study.Construction of traffic splitter and pedestrian refuge islands
Bitumen seal failing due to cracking allowing water to enter the pavement, causing major safety concerns with a failing pavementProvide a new water proofing membrane to existing pavement surface, to extend and prevent pavement failure
The existing sealed pavement surface has deteriorated which requires significant patching, and also the road alignment has a bend with poor shape and crossfall which carries an accident history.Reconstruction of the pavement and seal for a length of approximately 1300 metres with a minimum width of 8 metres and reconstruction of road embankment at the bend to provide pavement crossfall.Total cost of proposed project is $847,000
Aging road infrastructure including 3 culverts which have failed due to age or have been damaged by heavy vehicles including road maintenance plant.Replace damaged and failing culverts with more durable Inverted Box Culverts and Headwalls. (Cost of Project is shared between R2R Funding (66%) and DELWP Funding (33%)Total cost of proposed project is $18,459
road surface is worn, and not adequate for traffic utilising (especially during harvest periods). Some sections require work to sub-base removal of crests that restricts user sight distanceaddress sub-base issues by constructing new base in required areas, remove identified crests, resheet 9.5 klmsTotal cost of proposed project is $381,398
The single lane bitumen road in Morgan street providing access to the Forest View Aged Care Centre is inadequate for the traffic numbers and the intersection with Broadhurst St has poor sight lines.Full road construction to two traffic lanes with earthworks, pavement, kerb and channel and asphalt surfacing.Total cost of proposed project is $220,000
This road is currently unsealed, subject to moderate scouring after rain. The utilisation of this road has increased due development in the area. This road is remote and expensive to maintain frequently.Introduce approximately 75mm of Road Base and blend this material with the existing road material, prepare surface for a spray seal and apply spray seal.
Several sections of the road are failing and a reconstruction is necessary to provide a safe running surface for traffic, in particular heavy vehicles.Reconstruct pavement around the "S" bend to achieve a 7.6 metre seal width and a 10.6 metre carriageway
