Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

North East Link
The project will construct a new motorway between the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough and the Eastern Freeway at Bulleen Road. It will also widen and upgrade the Eastern Freeway. It will also widen and upgrade the existing Eastern Freeway, and construct Melbourne's first dedicated busway with express lanes along the Eastern Freeway from Doncaster towards the city.
Gawler Rail Line Electrification
The project will include the upgrade and electrification of the rail line between Salisbury and Gawler, the installation of new a signalling system and related equipment.
Princes Highway East - Complete the Duplication between Traralgon and Sale
This project completed the duplication of the Princes Highway East between Traralgon and Sale by duplicating the remaining two sections of the highway, totalling approximately 12.1km, known as the Flynn and Kilmany sections. The project constructed two additional lanes to provide a four-lane dual carriageway with a central median.
Joy Baluch AM Bridge
The project involves the duplication of the existing two lane Joy Baluch AM Bridge, and widening the approach roads to allow for two lanes in both directions between Mackay Street (south of the bridge) and Burgoyne Street (north of the bridge). This project also includes the removal of the Great Western Bridge.
Moran Road, Coolgardie Townsite - 052446-14WA-RTR

Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade
The project is expected to deliver upgrades to the North Coast Line between Beerburrum and Nambour which is expected to increase capacity and support future growth and demand in the region. The works include duplication of the track between Beerburrum and Beerwah, expansion of park and ride facilities, and construction of road overpasses at Burgess Street, Barrs Road and Beerburrum Road.
New Bridgewater Bridge
The project will construct a new bridge on the Midland Highway over the Derwent River at Bridgewater.
Monaro Highway Upgrade ACT
The delivery of the following upgrades to the Monaro Highway within the ACT: - a new overtaking lane between Williamsdale Road and Royalla Drive and left-hand turn lane into Old Cooma Road; - a grade separated Lanyon Drive interchange; and - an extension to David Warren Road. 
South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication
The Project will upgrade the Geelong rail line between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds, Victoria. Works will include track duplication between South Gelong and Waurn Ponds, upgrades to South Geelong and Marshall stations, removal of two level crossings at Fyans Street and Surf Coast Highway, signalling upgrades and construction of new shared user paths.  
EastLink WA (Orange Route)
The existing road (Great Eastern Highway) is four-lanes, but has poor geometry and is winding and quite steep on the descent into Perth. With the continued urbanisation of the area there is also increasing localised commuter traffic merging onto this key freight route. The project will investigate and plan for an alternative route between Northam and Perth to the current alignment of the Great Eastern Highway.
