The Australian Government is committed to a 10-year, over $120 billion infrastructure investment pipeline, ensuring a rolling program of sustainable land transport infrastructure projects.

The Government is working in partnership with states and territories to deliver a credible and sustainable pipeline of projects which support a range of economic and social objectives, including productivity and resilience, sustainability and liveability.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Tamborine-Oxenford Road - Howard Creek Upgrade
The Howard Creek Causeway on Tamborine-Oxenford Road is located approximately 11 kilometres west of Oxenford, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This project upgraded the Howard Creek Causeway to improve the safety of the road alignment and intersection layout and increase flood immunity for all road users.
Gateway Motorway Flyover
The Gateway Motorway Flyover is a bridge located over Gympie Arterial Road in the northern Brisbane suburb of Bald Hills, connecting the Gateway Motorway to the Bruce Highway. This project upgraded the bridge by installing structural support and completing strengthening works to improve resilience and allow for increased heavy vehicle access.
Cloncurry - Dajarra Road Upgrade
Complete sealing to Phosphate Hill turn-off and widen existing priority narrow sealed sections.
Gregory Developmental Road (Charters Towers - The Lynd)
The project upgraded 7.7km of the Gregory Developmental Road from Marble Creek to Christmas Creek between Charters Towers to The Lynd. This included widening and strengthening pavement and upgrading drainage structures to improve flood resilience.
Burke Developmental Road - Progressive Sealing
Progressive sealing of priority sections of the Burke Developmental Road.
Regional Economic Enabling Fund
The project delivered a range of upgrades including progressive sealing, pavement strengthening and widening, and bridge and floodway upgrades across remote, rural and regional Queensland.
Audio Tactile Line Markings (Statewide)
This project funded a package of audio tactile line markings to edgelines and centrelines on priority regional roads across Queensland.
D'Aguilar Highway (Caboolture - Yarraman)
The project upgraded 3 high priority sections of the D'Aguilar Highway between Sandy Creek and Kilcoy. The works widened the road formation and seal width, installed a wide centerline to separate opposing traffic flows and provided roadside hazards treatments to improve the safety of the road section.
Peak Downs Highway (Mackay and Eton)
The project widened centrelines, added audio tactile line marking, widened road shoulders, removed roadside hazards, and added safety barriers along the Peak Downs Highway. 
Beaudesert Beenleigh Road (Beaudesert and Wolffdene)
The project delivered a series of targeted road safety works between Beaudesert and Wolffdene, south of Brisbane. These works included improved line marking/signage, audio tactile line markings, removal of roadside hazards, localised road widening and safety barriers.
