Ootann Road Upgrade (Tablelands Section)
Led by Tablelands Regional Council, the project widened the road to a 9m width providing a wider, safer two-lane road with a 100 km/h speed limit, including the sealing of remaining 4.52km gravelled section along the Ootann Road. Therefore, providing a continuous sealed road through the Tablelands Regional and Mareeba Shire Councils and enabling greater heavy vehicle access and delivering a strategic link between Northern Australian industry and southern markets.Ootann Road is an important freight link that was mostly unsealed and narrow. Unreliable access for road trains created lengthy detours across winding mountainous routes, adding over 250 kilometres per trip.
Dysart-Clermont Road Upgrade
The project strengthened and widened approximately 3.6 kilometres of narrow sealed sections on the Dysart-Clermont Road in Bowen Basin, Queensland. Narrow sections require passing, or the movement of oncoming vehicles to the unsealed shoulder. This poses safety risks, particularly for heavy vehicles.Led by Isaac Regional Council, these upgrades will contribute to freight safety and efficiency, improve road reliability, and reduce vehicle travel time and operation costs. The project will contributes corridor-level benefits by improving connectivity, particularly for heavy vehicles, while improving economic opportunities for existing and future industries such as agriculture, construction, mining, and energy.
Eaglefield Road Upgrade
Led by Isaac Regional Council, the project sealed and upgraded floodways along the Eaglefield Road in Bowen Basin, Queensland. The project will improve freight connectivity, productivity and safety, and facilitate economic opportunities for various industries such as agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and mining.Eaglefield Road is important, as it links roads between the state routes of Kilcummin Diamond Downs Road and Suttor Developmental Road. Due to recent sealing works on adjoining Pasha Road, traffic is anticipated to increase, due to the development of agricultural industries, and proximity to a processing facility. The upgrades will therefore assist to meet the increased demand by improving the road’s level of service, overall safety, and travel time for heavy vehicles.
Sippel Road (Rural Road) - 118569-21QLD-RTR

Solitary Islands Way - 118584-21NSW-RTR
The intersection of Solitary Islands Way and Centenary Drive, Woolgoolga was deemed to be insufficient and lacking, to accommodate the projected traffic volume and complexity of traffic movement associated with the Wiigulga Sports Complex, Solitary Islands Way and Centenary Drive.Reconfiguration of the intersection of Solitary Islands Way and Centenary Drive, Woolgoolga, to include a 4-way signalised intersection with a new local access road. This work requires the placement of trunk and localised drainage, road formation and pavement widening, new kerb and gutter, traffic signals and asphalt wearing surface.Total cost of proposed project is $7,253,434

Forrest Highway (Vittoria Road) – New Intersection and Road Connection
A new intersection will be constructed along Forrest Highway, south of Vittoria Road, along with a new road connection into the Glen Iris development precinct. The new intersection and road connection will address current pedestrian, traffic and road safety issues associated with travelling along Forrest Highway and accessing the Glen Iris development precinct, the Bunbury Farmers Market and local schools. The project will also support future development opportunities in the Glen Iris development precinct, improve access to Bunbury Port, promote efficient traffic movement along Forrest Highway, and support regional development opportunities for the region.
