Booborowie Rd (Rural Rd) Booborowie - 105654-19SA-RTR
Booborowie Rd has an existing concrete bridge structure over the Walton Creek. The structure is estimated to be 70 years old and has deteriorated to the stage whereby a 22.5 tonne limit has been currently enforced. Booborowie Rd is a major sealed north-south corridor for the movement of freight and a temporary unsealed detour is in place to allow heavy vehicle movements to continue. Council has currently funded the replacement of the bridge structure however additional work has been identified in order to complete the bridge replacement. The alignment of the creek crossing is on an acute angle causing extensive erosion to the abutments and creek walls at the bridge. The alignment of the creek will be improved at the road crossing in order to minimise erosion and washouts behind the abutments and bridge piers. A large concrete retaining wall and associated footings will be constructed on the north east embankment stabilizing the creek bank and bridge abutment. The wall will be 50m long and 5m high.
Nighwell Road (rural road) - 105660-19WA-RTR
This section of road has a large number of heavy combination trucks during harvest. Due to the poor surface material the heavy vehicles cause large blow outs in the road. This road is a designated school bus route and is used by both light and heavy vehicles. The running surface of the road becomes dangerous over the summer months. Gravel sheeting this road will improve both safety for the school bus and lower maintenance costsTo clear drains and reshape running surface of road and gravel sheet. This will improve drainage, reduce skid resistance and provide a safer road for school bus and all other users.
Magees Parade, Lord Howe Island (Rural Road) - 105522-19NSW-RTR
Existing seal surface severely cracked and rutted from general traffic. Large potholes present. On commencing, very little existing road base has been found - original road constructed on compacted local soil. This has been severely impacted by tree roots. Requires significant additional road base and work.Reconstruct road. Remove tree roots and soft material. Add new road base and tree root guard, improve road camber and drainage. Compact. Apply 10/7 bitumen seal.
Middle Beach Road, Lord Howe Island - 105523-19NSW-RTR
Severe potholing and cracking of bitumen seal.Patch potholes and then apply bitumen seal to a 60m section.
Kimbo Rd (Rural Rd), Booborowie - 105652-19SA-RTR
Kimbo Rd has an existing concrete causeway across the Baldry Creek. The structure is estimated to be 40-50 years old with significant deterioration to the concrete deck with large sections breaking off. The vertical alignment is poorly designed with a very sharp crossing point preventing access to restricted access commodity vehicles such as B Doubles. B Doubles are required to travel an extra 9km to the south to access Booborowie Rd. In wet years, Baldry Creek can run up to 1.5m deep and 30m wide over Kimbo Rd and a semi permanent water hole is created either side of the road. Kimbo Rd provides an east-west connection to the major north-south transport corridor, Booborowie Rd.Remove the existing concrete structure and replace with a new concrete deck. The approach grades will be improved to allow access for longer vehicles and upon completion this section of Kimbo Rd will be added to the 26m commodity freight network. The new deck will be 50m long, 7m wide and 150mm thick.
Dip Rd (Rural Rd), Leighton - 105648-19SA-RTR
Dip Rd has an existing concrete causeway crossing Farrell Flat Creek. The structure is estimated to be 40-50 years old with significant deterioration to the concrete deck with large sections breaking off. In wet years, the Farrell Flat creek can run up to 1m deep and 50m wide over Dip Rd and a semi permanent water hole is created either side of the road. Dip Rd provides an east-west connection to the major north-south transport corridor - Booborowie Rd.Remove the existing concrete structure and replace with a new concrete deck. The existing dimensions of the floodway will be replicated as the design is adequate for the purpose. The deck is 40m in length and 7m in width. The replacement concrete deck will be 150mm thick. No alterations to road alignment or geometry is required.
Saxa Road, (rural road) - 105661-19NSW-RTR
Road shoulder has deteriorated due to increase in heavy vehicles carting fodder. Edge drop off is a road safety issue and narrowing of pavement has potential to result in vehicular conflict.Reconstruct the road shoulder on both sides of the road to restore the road formation.
Gregory Lawn Hill Road (rural road) - 105667-19QLD-RTR
Sight distance issues at two crests along Gregory Lawn Hill Road.Excavation of crests to improve vertical sight distances.Total cost of proposed project is $398,501
Lue Road (rural road) - 105664-19NSW-RTR
The road formation and the seal is narrow and the road pavement is in poor condition with seal cracking, edge drops and potholes creating ongoing problem.Rehabilitation of the road to widen and strengthen the pavement, providing an 8m seal on a 10m pavement and good drainage throughout. Drainage improvement include a twin cell 600 mm pipe culvert and the installation of two 450 mm pipe culverts.
White Flat Road, Molong - 105669-19NSW-RTR
Erosion of top soil. Degraded road pavement causes safety issues to motorists. Road needs grading and pavement resheeting.Grading of White Flat Road, Pavement resheeting of road with a pavement width of 8 mts and a compacted depth of 75 millimetres (100mm loose). Clearing of vegetation if any and Pavement material is to be placed with reference to AUS-SPEC Specification Flexible Pavements and other relevant AUS-SPEC (the latest edition).
