Koolanooka South Road (Rural Road) - 128389-24WA-RTR
Koolanooka South Road provides a connection to the south of the shire and continues into the Shire of Perenjori, currently this section of road is constructed in natural materials and becomes extremely slippery when wet. Widening and improving surface rideability will provide a suitable and safe linkage for road users.Reform sub-grade and gravel re-sheet the road to a thickness of 100 mm with imported materials to provide an 8 metre running surface and an overall width of 10 metres.
Norton Road (Rural Road) - 128390-24WA-RTR
The road is a school bus route, has a higher volume of traffic during harvest, is used by tourists to access Koolanooka Springs when travelling from the south and is currently corrugated and potholed with vegetation growing on the verges. Widening and improving surface rideability and drainage will provide a suitable and safe linkage for road users.Carry out vegetation management to improve sightlines in selected areas, reform sub-grade and then gravel re-sheet to a thickness of 100 mm with imported material to provide a running surface of 8 metres and an overall width of 10 metres.
White Road (Rural Road) - 128392-24WA-RTR
White Road provides an east west connection for farmers moving machinery and is a route used for transporting grain at harvest, currently at SLK 7.41 there is a narrow cutting with poor visibility that is dangerous to oncoming traffic. Widening and improving surface rideability and drainage will provide a suitable and safe linkage for all road users.Excavate the current narrow cutting out to a width of 10 metres, this will require the use of an excavator and rock breaker due to the natural material being large ironstone formation. We will then reform the subgrade and then gravel re-sheet to a thickness of 100 mm with imported material to give a running surface of 8 metres and an overall width of 10 metres.
Warri Gate Road (Rural Road) - 127358-24QLD-RTR
Deterioration of low-level road sections due an increase in tourism and heavy vehicle traffic (landholders and oil & gas). Road unsuitable for use during wet weather due to flooding and boggy conditions in these sections, a major concern when Bulloo Shire has received up to 460 ml in the area since January, keeping the road closed to our rural landholders for long periods of time.Work at 6 locations along Warri Gate from Thargomindah Bundeena Road intersection, the most problematic chainages 126.35, 145.78, 159.58, 160.84, 162.43 & 166.17. Embankment to raise low-level sections of road and install levelling culvert/pipes to enable water to move under the road. RTR funding provides an opportunity for a permanent fix, to raise the low level sections for community safety and long term resilience. Council Contribution: $1,256,303Total cost of proposed project is $2,359,904
Thulloo Road, (rural road) - 129006-24NSW-RTR
There is one section with gravel loss towards the last 6km of the section. The road has additional failures including rutting and potholes. It is planned to wet grade the length of the road with additional gravel put down on the 6km section closest to the Kikoira Road intersection.
Narriah Road, (Rural Road) - 129007-24NSW-RTR
This road has failures such as rutting and potholes.Wet grade for first 3.4km, resheet from 3.4km to 4.5km, wet grade from 4.5km to 6.3km and resheet for remaining 1.78km.Total cost of proposed project is $162,627
Oxley Flats Road, Wangaratta - 053383-14VIC-RTR
Bitumen surface is aged and severely cracked. That is the bitumen surface is failing, risking further failure to the road pavement.Repair surface failures and reseal road.
Rosedale Road, Bicheno - 129008-24TAS-RTR
Pavement formation failures, subsidence and bitumen seal aged.Pavement rehabilitation including stabilisation and 2 coat bitumen reseal.
East Shelly Road, Orford - 129009-24TAS-RTR
