Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

This main feeder road for grain haulage and tourism has significant traffic all year round and because of large heavy haulage vehicles gravel resheeting has become essential to maintain road safety standards and viability for the ongoing economic development of the grain producers of the Shire of Kent. The road suffers from sand hole blowouts, potholing and poor drainage leading to a substandard surface dangerous to both tourists and domestic users as well as heavy haulage operators.Reconstruct and Gravel Resheet, upgrade drainage, signage and vision improvements entire length of road within the Shire of Kent. Realign substandard alignment of intersection at Bishop Road and Rabbit Proof Fence Road.
Progress Road, Wacol - 052961-14QLD-RTR
Road safety issues, low flood immunity at Bullockhead Creek crossing, insufficient number of lanes to cater for future traffic volumes.Upgrade Progress Road from two lanes to a median divided five lane carriageway. New bridge structure to replace existing culverts. Work also includes land resumption for road widening, relocation of services and creek revegetation and stabilisation works.Total cost of proposed project is $33,875,323
Redbank Plains Road, Collingwood Park / Redbank Plains - 053060-14QLD-RTR
The existing culvert structure is in poor condition due to age and needs to be replaced. This road section has a low flood immunity (Q2)and is frequently inaccessible during significant rainfall events. Temporary treatments applied in the past are not providing a long term solution, causing strain on asset maintenance resources. Redbank Plains Road is a major cross city route linking principal activity centres and high growth residential suburbs. It is also a heavy vehicle access route.Upgrade the structure over Six Mile Creek to improve road safety and increase flood immunity to Q20. The existing culvert structure will be replaced with a 2 span concrete bridge approximately 50m long and 13m wide. Works will include associated approach road works.Total cost of proposed project is $5,203,459
Tocal Road - (Rural Road) - 053700-14QLD-RTR
Existing seal is breaking up with ruts and potholes forming.Pre-mix patching where required and then reseal.Total cost of proposed project is $75,000

MR 127 - PIlliga Road, (rural road) - 054069-14NSW-RTR
There are numerous pavement failure along the outer edge and across the pavement width due to the pavement not being strong enough. This length of road is in an unsafe condition for the use of heavy transport on what is an important freight route from the Baradine/Coonamble/Pilliga areas into Wee Waa and the railway line at Wee WaaThe work consists of heavy patch repair over the failed section of road in both part and full width to provide strength and safety to the road users. This heavy patching consists of the addition of gravel as required and the stabilisation of the existing material. There will also be some resealing of sections of the road where the pavement is sound, but the existing bitumen is oxidisedTotal cost of proposed project is $1,150,000
