Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Pavement badly deteriorated and sections are crumbling under traffic loads. Sections of kerb and gutter and footpaths in poor condition and require reconstruction.Reconstruct road pavement, seal, kerb and gutter and footpaths.Total cost of proposed project is $780,000

Mathoura Street (urban street), Horsham 3400 - 056170-15VIC-RTR
Pavement failed due to traffic and poor drainage. Poor riding surface and drainage issues are to be addressed.Pavement renewals including installation of new kerb and channel and replacement of sealed surface to provide a smooth riding surface and improved drainage. Length 91 metres x 6.8 metres wide.Total cost of proposed project is $101,000
Birch Street, Findon - 056171-15SA-RTR
Pavement badly deteriorated and sections are crumbling under traffic loads. Sections of kerb and gutter and footpaths in poor condition and require reconstruction.Reconstruct road pavement, seal, kerb and gutter and footpaths.Total cost of proposed project is $510,000
Smith Road (Rural Road) - 056174-15SA-RTR
The existing road is in poor condition, consisting of less than 100mm of low quality sandstone. The road has severe corrugation and during Winter, large potholes occur regularly and the roadway is subjected to water inundation and is unsafe for the freight of primary produce from the local area. Due to the current road condition only part of this road is currently gazzetted as a B-Double commodity route.Reconstruction to 1.53 kilometres of Smith Road of the existing unsealed pavement followed by a sealed wearing surface suitable for B-Double vehicles. The existing pavement will be reworked appropriately providing a suitable base to add approximately 260mm of a higher grade pavement material. This will be capped off by a 14/7mm two coat spray seal. The existing road will be reconstructed to a 7m wide seal, with 1m unsealed shoulders in both sides of the road.Total cost of proposed project is $1,499,411
Polkemmet Road Bridge over Wimmera River (rural road), Horsham 3400 - 056175-15VIC-RTR
Non complying guard rails and crash ends.Repair the guard rails and install complying crash ends at all approaches. Length 0 metres x 8.1 metres wide.
Palmer Crescent, Bunbury - 056178-15WA-RTR
A section of Palmer Crescent requires a full reconstruction due to the impact heavy vehicles on the road pavement. Extreme shoving has created a rough road and potholing.The kerbing requires removal,the site will be cleared and recycling of the existing bitumen will be reused as the road base. Primersealing and the application of an intersection mix will be undertaken to cope with the heavy vehicle use occuring.
