Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Woodroffe Ave, Main Beach - 066217-16QLD-RTR
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) swimming and diving events will be held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, located on the Gold Coast Highway, Southport, and further live sites will be located in both Southport and Surfers Paradise. The City has identified the key active transport corridors that connect the above GC2018 venues and key surrounding precincts: Woodroffe Avenue in Main BeachConstruction of new 3m wide shared path connecting Waterways Drive to Rankin Parade. Removal of existing path on southern side of Woodroffe and replacement with new 2.5m shared path from Rankin Place to Main Beach Parade. As per Cycleway Report Section 7 submitted.Total cost of proposed project is $661,000
Benowa Road, Benowa - 066218-16QLD-RTR
This intersection currently experiences a high level of accidents and has some safety concerns for pedestrians and cyclists.Refurbishment and upgrade of existing signal hardware. Intersection improvements to enhance the safety for pedestrians and cyclists including DDA compliance, review of current street lighting and installation of CCTV.Total cost of proposed project is $870,368
Upper Natone Road (Rural Road) - 066226-16TAS-RTR
The road is too narrow to allow safe passage of opposing traffic.The road is undulating and the seal has failed.The road is to be widened, the pavement upgraded and resealed.Total cost of proposed project is $420,000
Fern Glade Road (Emu Heights) - 066227-16TAS-RTR
Fern Glade Road is an important link to Fern Glade Reserve and is currently in very poor condition. There is currently no safe pedestrian or cyclist accessThe road is to be widened, the drainage improved, and the pavement upgraded and resealed. The road widening will include a shared pathway for pedestrian and cyclist use. Some sections of this pathway will be timber boardwalks.Total cost of proposed project is $1,295,595
Jellicoe Avenue, Monbulk - 066243-16VIC-RTR
The existing road has a crushed rock formation requiring ongoing maintenance, with residents experiencing problems associated with dust, corrugations and potholes. The road services abutting urban residential properties. Construction of the existing unmade road will improve the amenity and quality of access for these properties.Construction of the full length of the road (750 metres). The width of the works will generally be 5.5 metres, to match the existing road formation. The road will be constructed with an asphalt surface and kerb and channel and drainage to carry stormwater run-off. It is also proposed to incorporate water sensitive design elements within the project.Total cost of proposed project is $401,042
George Street, Wandin North - 066255-16VIC-RTR
The existing road has a crushed rock formation requiring ongoing maintenance, with residents experiencing problems associated with dust, corrugations and potholes. The road services abutting urban residential properties. Construction of the existing unmade road will improve the amenity and quality of access for these properties.Construction of the full length of the road (370 metres). The width of the works will generally be 5.5 metres, to match the existing road formation. The road will be constructed with an asphalt surface and kerb and channel and drainage to carry stormwater run-off. It is also proposed to incorporate water sensitive design elements within the project.Total cost of proposed project is $309,878
Edmond Crescent, Wandin North - 066259-16VIC-RTR
The existing road has a crushed rock formation requiring ongoing maintenance, with residents experiencing problems associated with dust, corrugations and potholes. The road services abutting urban residential properties. Construction of the existing unmade road will improve the amenity and quality of access for these properties.Construction of the full length of the road (320 metres). The width of the works will generally be 5.5 metres, to match the existing road formation. The road will be constructed with an asphalt surface and kerb and channel and drainage to carry stormwater run-off. It is also proposed to incorporate water sensitive design elements within the project.Total cost of proposed project is $275,000
Old Emerald Road, Monbulk - 066262-16VIC-RTR
The existing sealed road has deteriorated significantly, with cracking, edge breaks and potholes evident. Rehabilitation of the road surface is necessary. The roadway is a local road. Upgrading of the road will improve local amenity and safety of access for road users.Rehabilitation of the existing sealed road pavement and sub grade, including bitumen sprayed seal surfacing, for a length of 1.05 km Eastwards from Monbulk Road to provide a 6.0 metre wide pavement.Total cost of proposed project is $798,997
Victoria Road, Chirnside Park - 066267-16VIC-RTR
The last five years of crash history reveals three crashes; two serious injury and one other injury. The three accidents were vehicles turning right out of Switchback Road. These accidents resulted due to misjudgement of the available gap and failure to give way. Peak hour delays for turning traffic encourages drivers to take risks and turn into shorter gaps in traffic. Vehicles exiting Switchback Road are also impacted by the road gradient, which is uphill 15%. Sight distances at the intersection meet minimum requirements but not desirable standards due to the gradients of the approach roads.Intersection improvements including new signals, footpaths, Disability Discrimination Act (Accessible) pram crossings, lighting and linemarkingTotal cost of proposed project is $360,000
Switchback Road, Chirnside Park - 066270-16VIC-RTR
Safety for right turners, damage to road shoulder due to the passage of through traffic, damage to vehicles due to poor condition of road shoulder. North side gravel road shoulder is continually being driven on and deteriorates badly due to through vehicles attempting to pass turning vehicles. Improvements to street lighting will also enhance safetyConstruction of a right turn refuge lane to provide safe protection for traffic wishing to turn right into Rolling Hills Road. Widening of the road to allow for passing traffic to safely by-pass turning vehicles without the need to drive on the shoulder.Total cost of proposed project is $270,000
