Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Sandy Creek Road, Leslie - 066588-16QLD-RTR
Existing seal was in a poor condition and some sections of the road pavement were damaged due to water seepage. Pavement repair works and resealing will be carried out to protect the road surface and the pavement. Bourke Wilcania Road (Rural Road) - 066593-16NSW-RTR
This section of road has five individuals sealed causeways installed to prevent continued scouring. Over the years there has been continued accidents where motorists and motor cycles have not negotiated the conditions. Council has tried on two occasions to obtain Federal Black Spot Program funds for this project but have been unsuccessful. This project is also a request from the Louth Village Tours and part of Council's Ten Year Plan. The main problem is motorists are picking up too much speed on the short sealed sections and are losing control when coming off the bitumen onto the gravelled surface. More often than not it is the gravelled sections on the bend in the road.Sealing of the individual gaps to join onto the existing sealed sections to avoid confusion for motorists. Formation and shaping of approximately 1.5 kilometres of road at 9 metre width, importing of base material at 200mm depth , rolled and compacted to required standard, sealed with 14 millimetre and 7 millimetre aggregate and C240 Bitumen.
Murray Street, Wentworth - 066595-16NSW-RTR
Worn gravel layer resulting in pot holing and a rough toad surface. Road condition has deteriorated.Bitumen Resealing of damaged sections of road, including line marking.
Redlands Road, (Rural Road) - 066596-16NSW-RTR
Existing pavement is 4.9m wide. The road pavement is rough, narrow and has extensive failures.Remove existing seal. Rework and widen the road formation. Lay and compact 150mm layer of pavement material followed by 10mm primer seal. Install guide posts and required road signs.
Redlands Road, (Rural Road) - 066597-16NSW-RTR
Existing pavement has a primer seal. Final seal is required to improve skid resistance as well as waterproof, protect and extend the life of the underlying road pavement.It is proposed to carry out 7.4m wide single coat bitumen resealing works on the existing pavement.
Gray Street, Corowa - 066605-16NSW-RTR
Road surface is deformed, rough, irregular in shape and of poor presentation. The current surface levels do not cater for adequate drainage.Install new kerb and gutter. Extension of the piped drainage system as required. Rip and rework existing road pavement. Suitable material retrieved from the reworking the road will be used to for the sub-base of the shoulder pavement. Lay 100mm DGB20 roadbase material over full width of the road formation. Spray 7mm primer seal. Line marking and erection of roadside furniture.
