King George Street/Raglan Street Intersection - 064899-16QLD-RTR
Intersection and Raglan Street is in a very poor condition with severe cracking of pavement and has reached end of design life.Rehabilitate pavement, asphalt overlay and line marking.Total cost of proposed project is $468,000
Coxs River Road (Little Hartley) - 064901-16NSW-RTR
Surface instability, aged seal and aged pavement have caused consistent pavement failure over isolated sections of this 2.8km stretch of road. Such failures include severe surface cracking, potholing and shoulder cracking. The seal for this 2.8km section will be removed in sections where the road has degraded. In these areas, the subsurface will be ripped and blended with high quality road base. The road base will then be sufficiently compacted and allowed to sit for two weeks prior to seal to determine any further subsurface deficiencies in these areas. Upon rectification of any further issues, a two-coat 20/10 seal will be laid to replace that which was removed. Table drains will be reformed and stormwater culverts and pipes will be cleared to rectify drainage issues.
Williwa Street (Portland) - 064904-16NSW-RTR
This road primarily consists of concrete trafficked lanes with 2-coat sealed shoulders. The shoulders have degraded to an unacceptable condition, showing signs of potholing, rutting, cracking and depressions. The shoulders in required locations along this 2km section of road will be removed and built back up to the level of the concrete road surface with road base. Hotmix will be laid on this prepared surface in order to provide a more resilient seal on the shoulders in these locations.
Valentine Avenue, Horsham 3400 - 064905-16VIC-RTR
Pavement failed due to traffic and poor drainage. Poor riding surface and drainage issues are to be addressed.Pavement renewals including replacement of kerb and channel and sealed surface to provide a smooth riding surface and improved drainage. Length 120 metres x 6.8 metres wide.Total cost of proposed project is $176,000
Braemar Road, Torrens Park - 064906-16SA-RTR
The kerb and water table on both sides of Braemar Road are displaced both vertically and horizontally due to soil movement and tree growth. The road pavement is significantly deformed due to the reactive sub-grades in the area. Braemar Road is classified as a Local road in a residential area with a vehicle traffic volume of 300 to 550 vehicles per day.It is proposed to replace all of the kerbing on both sides of Braemar Road. The kerb replacement will be followed by the removal of the road seal and pavement. The road will be replaced with a deep lift Asphalt pavement followed with 40mm Asphalt seal. The project is in conjunction with Parkers Road and Kays Road
Parkers Road, Torrens Park - 064907-16SA-RTR
The kerb and water table on both sides of Parkers Road are in poor condition due to environmental factors and their age. The road pavement is deformed resulting in poor ride ability. The road seal is a 21 year old spray sealed surface which has significant stone loss. Parkers Road is 325 meters in length and is classified as a “Local” road with a vehicle traffic volume of less than 100 vehicles per dayIt is proposed to replace all of the kerbing on both sides of Parkers Road. The kerb replacement will be followed by the removal of the road seal and pavement. The road will be replaced with a deep lift Asphalt pavement followed with 40mm Asphalt seal. The project is in conjunction with Braemar Road and Kays Road
Curly Dick Road (Meadow Flat) - 064908-16NSW-RTR
This road is currently in an extremely poor, unsealed state. The soil has a very high clay content and as such, as soon as Council grades the road to repair potholes and rutting, the road becomes extremely slippery in the wet. Due to skidding, the road then degrades quickly back to its original state of potholes and rutting.Complete rectification of roadside drainage in this 1km section. Road base will be applied to the road, shaped effectively and compacted. Soon after, a robust two-coat 20/10 seal will be applied to the road to solve the consistent maintenance problems in this area.
Kays Road, Torrens Park - 064909-16SA-RTR
Kays Road has old kerbing in very poor condition. The road surface is also very old, estimated to have been constructed in the late 1960’s.The intersection of Kays Road with Braemar Road and Kays Road is very wide and open attracting high entry and exit speeds. It is proposed to replace the kerbing on both sides of Kays Road as well as narrow the intersection with Parkers Road and Braemar Road. The kerb replacement will be followed by the removal of the road seal and pavement. The road will be replaced with a deep lift Asphalt pavement followed with 40mm Asphalt seal. The project is in conjunction with Braemar Road and Parkers Road
Bailey Street, St. Marys - 064910-16SA-RTR
Bailey Street is located in a Commercial and residential section of St. Marys. The existing pavement and surface of the road is estimated to have been constructed in the mid 1970’s. The road has extensive cracking including several section of defective pavement which is failing under load from commercial vehicles. The kerbing is in moderate condition requiring partial replacement in sections. Bailey Street is 260m in length. It is proposed to renew sections of kerbing prior to replacing the road seal and pavement with a 120mm Asphalt pavement followed with 40mm Asphalt seal.
Rockville Avenue, Daw Park - 064911-16SA-RTR
The kerb and water table on both sides of Rockville Avenue are in very poor condition with displacement vertically and horizontally due to the proximity of trees and significant re-development within the street. The road surface is poor with a significant number of edge breaks against the kerb. The road pavement is also in poor condition a large number of defective road. Rockville Avenue is classified as a “Local” road with a vehicle traffic volume in excess of 300 vehicles per day.It is proposed to replace all of the kerbing on both sides of Lancelot Drive. The kerb replacement will be followed by the removal of the road seal and pavement. The road will be replaced with a 80mm Asphalt pavement followed with 30mm Asphalt seal.
