Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Feasibility Study for Burrum Bridge
The feasibility study considered an additional bridge across the Burrum River. The feasibility study took into account the overall cost of a new bridge, connecting roads and infrastructure, the benefits to the community, environmental impacts and land acquisition.
Port Botany Rail Line Duplication
This project will duplicate the remaining 2.9 kilometre freight rail single track section of the Port Botany Rail Line (PBRL) between Mascot and Botany, and construct a passing loop on the Southern Sydney Freight Line (SSFL) at Cabramatta to accommodate freight trains up to 1,300 metres in length. The project comprises: new bridge structures, spans, civil works and track duplication east from Robey Street, Mascot new rail bridge across Southern Cross Drive and duplicated track across the existing Botany Road bridge embankment works adjacent to Mill Pond and a new rail bridge across Mill Pond Creek duplication to Banksia Street, Botany, connecting with existing double track near Botany Rail Yard construction of a freight rail passing loop on the SSFL between Cabramatta and Warwick Farm
Mildura Street, Norseman - 052444-14WA-RTR
Mildura Street in the town of Norseman is reaching the end of its useful economic life and requires attention. The road is showing signs of cracking and rutting as well as edge wear due to high usage and extreme weather conditions.To reinstate worn edges and to apply a chip seal overlay to the road.Total cost of proposed project is $43,195
Great Northern Highway - Bindoon Bypass
The Great Northern Highway Corridor links the Perth metropolitan area and the Port of Fremantle with the north-west of Australia, and provides a link to Darwin and the Northern Territory. The project will provide the final link in upgrading the Great Northern Highway to the same standard south from Wubin to the planned road train assembly area at Muchea. The proposed project is 66 km long, including construction of 61.6 km of new highway and 4.4 km of improvements to the existing Great Northern Highway. The completion of the Bindoon Bypass will enable access by triple road trains to travel within 58 km of Perth (at Muchea).
METRONET: Lakelands Business Case
The project consists of planning for a new station in Lakelands on the existing Mandurah Line. Currently there is a 23km gap between the Warnbro and Mandurah Stations. Some planning work has been undertaken to accommodate recent growth in the Golden Bay, Karnup and Lakelands areas. New and upgraded stations as part of METRONET will also consider development opportunities in communities and improve bus and transfer facilities for commuters.
North-South Corridor - Torrens to Darlington
This project will complete the final 10.5km of Adelaide's North-South Corridor, between the River Torrens in the north and Darlington in the south, to motorway standard. The proposed motorway will include two sets of twin three-lane tunnels, connected by an open motorway, and realignment of South Road in the immediate vicinity. Once complete, the North-South Corridor will run 78km from Gawler in the north to Old Noarlunga in the south.
Mitchell Freeway Extension - Hester Avenue to Romeo Road
Mitchell Freeway is the main arterial road that connects the northern suburban areas with Perth’s CBD. The freeway currently terminates at Hester Avenue. The project extends the Mitchell Freeway a further 5.6 kilometres from Hester Avenue to Romeo Road and convert the existing road into four lanes with a future provision for six lanes. It also involves signalising of intersections, construction of new intersections, construction of on and off-ramps, the construction of a rail tunnel and a principal shared path, an extra 1.8 kilometre lane to Wanneroo Road from Romeo Road to Trian Road and upgrades existing access and service roads.
Leach Highway (Welshpool Road) Interchange
The project will construct an overpass to separate the Leach Highway from Welshpool Road and upgrade the Leach Highway Bridge over rail south of the proposed Welshpool interchange.
Rathjen Road (Rural Road) - 052445-14SA-RTR
The road surface condition is currenlty poor and unsafe from corrugation and potholing. Dust from the road surface is also causing environmental pollution and poor visibility for road users.The proposed work includes repairs to corrugations and potholes and a 10 metre wide spray seal road surface.Total cost of proposed project is $1,370,000
Roe Highway/Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Abernethy Road/Great Eastern Highway Bypass Interchange
Roe Highway is a strategic road corridor that stretches from Kwinana Freeway to Great Northern Highway and forms the outer ring road network for the Perth metropolitan area. The Great Eastern Highway Bypass provides a critical connection between Roe Highway and Tonkin Highway. The project will construct grade separated interchanges at the intersections of Roe Highway and Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Abernethy Road and Great Eastern Highway Bypass.
