Brighton Road Intersection Improvements
This project will provide improvements to intersections in selected sections of the Brighton Road corridor. Works will focus on the Brighton Road and Edwards Street intersection and the Brighton Road, Ocean Boulevard and Scholefield Road intersection to improve access and address safety concerns.
North East Rail Line Supporting Infrastructure
The North East Rail Line Supporting Infrastructure Project involved modifications to the stabling at Albury which enabled the accommodation of a six-car VLocity train.  Modifications included a 35 metre parallel track extension, additional station pathways, and improved signalling, lighting and fencing.
Sheahan Bridge Upgrade - Planning
The project involves the scoping and development of the upgrade of Sheahan Bridge on the Hume Highway in Gundagai to allow for heavy freight vehicles. Currently, the Sheahan Bridge cannot carry High Productivity Freight Vehicles without a pre-approved permit, which interrupts freight movements between Melbourne and Sydney. The scoped upgrades once delivered will improve heavy freight movements between Melbourne and Sydney along the Hume Highway.
Canterbury Road Upgrade
Committed funding undertook planning and development works to widen Canterbury Road from two lanes to three lanes in each direction from Dorset Road to Liverpool Road. The scope of works also included installing pedestrian operated signals and constructing a shared user path on the south side of Canterbury Road, east of Liverpool Road. Construction funding has been reserved pending additional planning works.
Marion Road - Cross Road to Anzac Road
The project will involve grade separation of the tram level crossings on Marion Road and Cross Road, widening of the Anzac Highway/Marion Road Intersection, widening of the Cross Road/Marion Road Intersection, and pedestrian and cycling access improvements.
Western Sydney Freight Line and Intermodal Terminal
The Western Sydney Freight Line and Intermodal Terminal business case is investigating the need and strategic options for a dedicated rail connection from Port Botany to Western Sydney, to address expected future capacity constraints across Greater Sydney. The project is being led by the New South Wales Government and is being developed under the New South Wales Government Infrastructure Investor Assessment Framework (IIAF), which sets out three initial phases of project assessment and development:  1. Needs Confirmation 2. Needs Analysis 3. Investment Decision   The Western Sydney Freight Line and Intermodal Terminal project is currently in the Needs Analysis phase.
Richmond Road – Planning
The project will help to finalise planning on the Richmond Road corridor to inform a future investment decision for construction.
Richmond Road Stage 1 - Elara Boulevard to Heritage Road, Marsden Park
The Project will duplicate Richmond Road from two lanes to four lanes between Elara Boulevard and near Heritage Road (Clydesdale Farm Road) and build a new four-way signalised intersection about 800 metres north of Elara Boulevard. The signalised intersection will provide access to Marsden Park Precinct to the west and Marsden Park North Precinct to the east.
Outer Metropolitan Ring Rail South
The Western Interstate Freight Terminal will require a new rail connection, the Outer Metropolitan Ring (OMR) rail to ensure it is connected to the existing freight rail network and Inland Rail. The project involves the delivery of the southern portion of the OMR rail connection and will provide a key link from the existing national freight network near Werribee into the Western Interstate Freight Terminal. The OMR Rail South connection will enable efficient movement of east-west (Melbourne-Adelaide-Perth) freight volumes and will also enable (single-stacked) freight trains to access the terminal at Truganina. The OMR Rail South connection will be aligned with the delivery of the Western Interstate Freight Terminal. This investment by the Commonwealth towards the project is contingent on a funding contribution from the Victorian Government. The Victorian Government’s long term freight strategy highlights the need for two new intermodal terminals which will be delivered in Melbourne – one in Beveridge in Melbourne’s north (delivered in time for Inland Rail services) and one in Truganina in Melbourne’s west.
Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley Flood Evacuation Road Resilience - Planning
The planning study will develop a program of works to address more than 100 identified road infrastructure constraints to existing flood evacuation routes and areas within the Hawkesbury Nepean Valley, such as road widening, new culvert and bridge structures, road raising, pinch point upgrades and drainage improvements. The Hawkesbury Nepean Valley Flood Risk Management Strategy is a whole of government initiative led by Infrastructure NSW.
