Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Moreton Crescent, Claremont - 064289-16TAS-RTR
Moreton Crescent is a local urban road, serving adjacent residential properties. The road and associated infrastructure was constructed in 1958 and is at the end of its useful service life. The road pavement is in need of reconstruction. New road surface is required and kerb and channel and footpaths need to be replaced.Excavation and replacement of road pavement and new sealed surfacing. Replace footpaths, kerb & channel and driveways in the area of works.Total cost of proposed project is $567,725
Fincher Street, Wongthaggi, VIC, 3995 - 064290-16VIC-RTR
Pavement failed with potting and loss of shape. Seal failed, breaking up with cracking and potting. Kerb and channel deteriorated with loss of function. Footpath along road reserve is lifting and breaking up.Cement stabilise existing road base and overlay with 40mm asphalt. Associated kerb and drainage works. Footpath renewal ajacent to road.
Popanyinning West Road (Rural Road) - 064291-16WA-RTR
Road is severely damaged from heavy vehicle use. Full width of Popanyinning West Road requires 2 layer cement stabilisation and drainage works.2 layer cement stabilisation on full road width, drainage works and primer seal to a width of 7m.
Continental Road, Glenorchy - 064292-16TAS-RTR
Continental Road is a local road, serving residential properties with some traffic from nearby school. The road and associated infrastructure was constructed in 1983 and is at the end of its useful service life. The road pavement is in need of reconstruction. New road surfacing is required and kerb & channel and footpaths need to be replaced.Excavation and replacement of the road pavement and new road surfacing. Replace kerb & channel, footpaths and driveways in the area of works.Total cost of proposed project is $577,920
Popanyinning West Road (Rural Road) - 064293-16WA-RTR
Realignment and shoulder widening to correct dangerous corners.Realignment of 750m full width and shoulder widening for 450m extended from 3.6m to 7.2m.
Butts Road Bridge, Rural Road - 064294-16QLD-RTR
The current structure is in CS4 (Very Poor) condition. Based on the current traffic requirments of the road and the overall condition of the structure the bridge is schedualed for a rehabilitation.Proposed scope includes full reconstruction of Sealed Pavement to the existing standard, and demolition and replacement of kerb and channel including any associated drainage structures.

Final seal of 2015/16 worksFinal seal of 2015/16 works for 680m.
Greenswamp Road Bridge, Rural Road - 064296-16QLD-RTR
Existing structure is in Condition state 4 (Very Poor) condition. Based on the traffic volumes and overall condition of the structure the bridge is at the end of its servicable life. Replacement is scheduled.The scope of works includes demolition of the existing timber bridge and replacement with an 8m wide 20m long (2 span) conventional concrete bridge with guardrails. The bridge will be approximately at the same height of the exisiting bridge. The new bridge will require the installation of new piers and end abutments. The 100m road approaches each side of the abutment will be designed to suit the speed enviroment of the road.Total cost of proposed project is $1,800,000
Chinchilla Kogan Road, Rural Road - 064298-16QLD-RTR
The existing road has been assessed as being in very poor condition. Due to the high traffic volume and large percantage of heavy vehicles using this road segment, this poor condition makes these segments of road unsuitable for for use under these traffic conditions.The scope of works include reconstructing these segments to Western Downs Regional Council Rural Collector standard of 8m seal and 9m formation widths. The scope of works is also to include asphalt surface correction treatments to bridge approaches in order to improve road safety.
