Road is potholed and rutting.Road base top up to repair damaged shoulders and rolling to compact and consolidate material. Works required in order to maintain and maximise service life of the road network and provide a safe travelling environment.
Existing bitumen surface condition is aged with extensive cracking. A reseal is required to preserve this pavementReseal this 230 meter section of Rupe Street with a 14mm single coat cutback bitumen seal.
The existing unsealed surface becomes very slippery when wet, mainly due to the surface being primarily clay.Construct a new 9.0 meter wide carriageway pavement with a 7.0 meter wide seal width, by forming up the existing pavement, importing new gravel material, water binding spreading and compacting this material and finishing it to accept a new 2 coat emulsion primerseal for the entire 370 meter section. Some minor drainage works will also be required.
The eastern end of the Adelaide St Service Road currently intersects with the Sturt Highway. This intersection is on a bend, a slight hill and has poor sight distance as well as difficulty in vehicles matching the traffic speed when pulling onto the highway. The service road is to be extended east so that it intersects with Wilga Road, (local road) to create a safer environment. This project is to construct and seal the new service road.
Road surface deterioration such as pot holing, stripping, cracking and oxidation.Asphaltic concrete seal resealing is to be carried out to restore road surface condition.
Existing road standard is insufficient to cater for the mix of heavy haulage and farm machinery. This project will widen narrow sections to provide a uniform Type 5 standard local distributor road.1. Clear vegetation within clear zone on either side of existing road.
2. Extend stormwater culvert pipes and instal headwalls.
3. Import sub-base and base gravel to either side of existing bitumen.
4. Pulverise existing base layer and new base shoulder works.
5. Shape and compact to line and level.
6. Seal with 14-7mm over widenings.
8. Instal guideposts and new signage.
Gravel surface is worn, rough and unpredictable making it unsafe. Road contains several corners which have no superelevation and are a safety concern at speed. Regular grading of road is required to maintain safe access to residents in the area. This project includes the reconstruction of 4.0km of road to remove irregularities in road surface, include superelevation on bends and improve road safety. Works included sealing of the road to enable access to residents in the area under all weather conditions.
Gravel surface is worn, rough and unpredictable making it unsafe. Inadequate depth of gravel remaining on road leading to poor road conditions following rain events.Reshape formation to 8m road width (where possible), construct 150mm gravel overlay, clear and reshape table drains on either side of roadway to provide adequate drainage.
