High wear and tear from heavy traffic, a high level of local and tourism traffic on the road wearing surface and edges, narrowness of the road which at present is only 4.2 metres wide, narrow road shoulders which are currently .5 of metre, failures in areas within the road works it has been deemed the road is at an unacceptable level of service, this requires the full length of the wearing surface and shoulders to be replaced and widened.Remove the existing road surface, and replace and widen 1000 metres of Nowhere Else Road with a new road surface to a new width of 5.5 metres, and widen the road shoulders to 1 metre.
