The Australian Government is committed to a 10-year, over $120 billion infrastructure investment pipeline, ensuring a rolling program of sustainable land transport infrastructure projects.

The Government is working in partnership with states and territories to deliver a credible and sustainable pipeline of projects which support a range of economic and social objectives, including productivity and resilience, sustainability and liveability.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Leachs Road (Rural Road) - 104906-19SA-RTR
Existing base course lacking in depth of material causing disintegration of surface and unsafe trafficability.Reform and rebuild surfaces to include adequate drainage and increase safety for all vehicle masses.
Hobart Airport Interchange
The project installed a grade separated interchange at the existing Hobart Airport roundabout so the Tasman Highway passes over Holyman Avenue, with dual lane roundabouts at the ramp terminals.
Macquarie Park Precinct and Bus Interchange Upgrade
The project will plan and upgrade the Macquarie University Station Bus Interchange, optimising bus operations and pedestrian access to and from the interchange precinct, as well as future proofing transport operations in the area.
Davey Road Interchange
This project will:Construct two south facing ramps (on and off), approximate 1.6 kilometres in length, at the existing overpass of Davey Road with the Hume HighwayConstruct of two roundabouts (one on the eastern ramp intersection, and one on the western ramp intersection).Construct stage two of the related Thurgoona Link Road  
Brig O’Johnston Bridge (now Clarence Town Bridge as at October 2022-23 Budget)
The project will construct a new two-lane bridge over the Williams River, adjacent to the existing Brig O'Johnston Bridge, at Clarence Town. The works will include road approaches and a pedestrian walkway.
Relocation of Loganlea Station
The Project will relocate Loganlea Station to allow for upgraded line capacity and position the station closer to the local health and education precinct.
Hobart Airport to Sorell Southern Bypass
Upgrades to priority locations between Hobart Airport and Southern Sorell, including duplication between Hobart Airport Interchange and the Midway Point Causeway, Midway Point intersection upgrade, and construction of a Sorell Bypass.
Salisbury to Beaudesert Rail
The Salisbury to Beaudesert Rail business case is investigating the need and viability of a passenger rail connection and will seek to identify the land requirements for a potential future corridor.The project is being led by the Queensland Government and is being developed under the Queensland Government Project Assessment Framework (PAF), which sets out three phases of business case assessment and development: 1. Strategic Assessment of Service Requirements2. Preliminary Evaluation3. Business Case Development The Salisbury to Beaudesert Rail project is currently in the Preliminary Evaluation phase.
Port of Brisbane Further Planning
The Port of Brisbane Further Planning business case is investigating current network constraints and seeking to identify any upgrades which may be required to provide sufficient capacity and efficiency between Inland Rail and the Port of Brisbane. The project is being led by the Queensland Government and is being developed under the Queensland Government Project Assessment Framework (PAF), which sets out three phases of business case assessment and development:    1. Strategic Assessment of Service Requirements 2. Preliminary Evaluation 3. Business Case Development   The Port of Brisbane Further Planning project is currently in the Preliminary Evaluation phase.
Blina Road, Rural road - 104957-19WA-RTR
Steel piped culverts have become damaged at various locations along the road. These culverts have been crushed with several being punctured in the running surface causing holes and exposed metal which is a safety concern.Remove damaged culverts and replace with cement stabilised floodways at the various locations.Total cost of proposed project is $110,363
